Costa Canyamel has 4 golf courses in the inmediate surrounding area:

The Canyamel Golf Course offers the golfer everything he/she could want. The course is in keeping with the surrounding countryside and presents challenging greens and a variety of fairways.

Golf Canyamel

Nestled in a beautiful valley surrounded by mountains, this course combines long and wide fairways with others that require more precision shots. The greens are set at varying levels.

Golf Capdepera Roca Viva

This course is located at the foot of a hillside with views over the Mediterranean Sea and next to a famous restaurant. The course is extremely demanding. Two lakes and a stream run across the 2nd and 8th holes, as well as the 12th hole. The 11th hole is the most difficult.

Golf Serra de Pula

The course is located next to the sea in the western part of the island, this course offers rolling fairways and slight inclines. The greens are fast, well maintained and surrounded by beautiful pine forests.

Golf de Costa de los pinos

Canyamel also has a tennis club with 18 clay courts.
In Cala Ratjada, there is a riding club where one can enjoy magnificent rides on horseback.
The surrounding mountains offer a number of scenic treks. The natural beauty of the surrounding area can also be enjoyed cycling along the country roads.

Costa Canyamel has its own cove, where you can enjoy swimming in a secluded bay.
Canyamel’s sand beach is located just 5 minutes from the development.
In the immediate surrounding area there are also other beaches such as, Cala Torta in Artá, Cala Mesquida, Cala Agulla, Cala Tritjana, etc.
You can go diving and sailing, enjoying the beauty of the Mediterranean that Majorca has to offer.
Canyamel is located 1 hour and 15 minutes by boat from Ciudadela, the capital city of Menorca.
There are a number of sailing clubs in the region that offer a variety of services. The closest are Costa de los Pinos, Cala Ratjada, Porto Cristo and Colonia San Pedro.

Costa Canyamel is 10 Km. from Artá – population 6,000.
Dominated by the church of San Salvador, Artá retains a colonial charm to it.
South of Artá is the ‘Talayot de Paiesses’ monument that dates back to 1,000 B.C.
Capdepera – population 5,600, is 8km. from Canyamel. The town is nestled at the bottom of a hill, below its old medieval fortress.
The region is kwown for its production of baskets and decorative wicker items.
Cala Ratjada is a major tourist destination. It offers a marina, guided tours of the March house gardens and lively nightlife.
Finally, the bay of Canyamel also houses the famous Artá Caves. They reach up to 40 metres in height and were lived in in the XVI century.


Costa Canyamel has a number of exclusive restaurants, both in Canyamel, as well as in the immediate surrounding area.
In addition, there are 3 and 4 star hotels in Canyamel.
Costa Canyamel has an ATM, grocery stores and a pharmacy.
The modern Manacor and Puerto Cristo hospitals are located 20 Km from Canyamel.
